The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) assumes significance as it systematically tracks end-to-end processes in the palm oil supply chain starting with palm plantations right up to the end consumers encompassing all the stakeholders in the value chain.
In 2012, Galaxy Surfactants became a member of RSPO and progressively started adopting chain of custody certifying for its manufacturing facilities. All our manufacturing plants in India and the Egypt plant are RSPO certified. As a recent milestone, four of our manufacturing sites were upgraded from RSPO MB( Mass Balance) to RSPO SG(Segregation). We are the first company in India to receive permission to use RSPO trademark globally.
About RSPO :
RSPO is a not-for- profit association that unites stakeholders from every sector of the palm value chain from producers to midstream processors, downstream companies, financial institutions & Non- Governmental Organizations. In this way, RSPO lives out the philosophy of the “roundtable” by giving equal rights to each stakeholder group to bring group-specific agendas to the roundtable, facilitating traditionally adversarial stakeholders and business competitors to work together towards a common objective and making decisions by consensus.
